browser based client network access test

I have a? network? based application set that has to be rolled out over a few hundred site in a short time frame.? Verifying? network? connectivity? requirements are met at each site prior to deployment is? difficult? and intensive. I require a? browser? based test tool that will test the clients access and gather the results. All clients are running XP SP2. users would be directed to a URL through a mail or direct? request. The web app will display to the user the following checks and on confirmation instruct the client machine to? execute? each test displaying the results back to the user. DNS name resolution - Ensure the client is able to resolve a short list of service names. Ping service IP - Ensure client can ping a short list of service ip addresses Ping service Name - Ensure client can ping a short list of services using names TCP session access - Ensure client can open a TCP session to a short list of service:port combinations These should be displayed to the user as 4 simple green / red tests. Pass results should be recorded in simple text file format along with the user IP address and time.? Any failure will be recorded in detailing along with IP and time details. The user should also be presented with a simple form requesting name, email, Telephone and a comments box.? The test lists should be? easily? edited to make the function reusable for future deployments.? This is a urgent? requirement? and any bidder would need to be able to deliver in the next few days.
