Assistance with vb activex internet package creation

I re-wrote a standard EXE application in activeX form, so it could be used with IE from an intranet server. The application is working perfectly on my development computer, but when I try to use it in the production environment, the application doesn´t work. When user accesses the page with the activeX application IE ask if it can be installed and the activeX control appears in the Downloaded Program Files folder, but IE doesn´t start the acitveX application it just shows a box similar when IE is loading an picture file. I haven´t got experince with vb activeX controls and I should get the application working ASAP, so I would like to work with an expert of this area.
