Greetings:
Basically I have 2 tables, units and reservations, with the following schema:
**units**
uniID (PK)
uniType
**reservations**
resID (PK)
uniID
resArrival
resDeparture
I want a sql query that will take 2 dates (startDate & endDate) for a potential reservation and return uniIDs that don’t have any reservations that conflict with the startDate and endDate of the new reservation.
The query will be used in a VB.NET form that provides 2 date time pickers for startDate and endDate and then displays the results in a data grid.
I have attached the access file with the 2 tables involved and a text file with the code for the click event of the button where the query is processed to give you a better idea of what I’m trying to do.
Some one was kind enough to provide me with a query that, in the end, did not produce the desired result but might be pointing in the right direction. I’ve been playing with the query builder in Access but have not gotten the desired result. Your help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
