Complete Redesign for CMS-based Site

Website Objective To redesign a modern and easy-to-use website for a Christian ministry. Primary purpose of the website is to be a main source of information for the events of the organization, provide ability to register and enable members of the network to connect with each other for help and encouragement. Website needs to position client as a christian and a professional organization. The website will provide a large number of homeschooling-related resources and events registration, all necessary information about the organization and for contact, news and a blog, store and a community network. Website Description and Key Features The whole project will have 4 main parts: Website, Store, Network Directory and Resources. Website: 1. General introductory information, Statement of faith, Board etc. (Pages with general content + pictures) 2. Give (explanation of all the different ways to donate, making the online donation possible from the website) 3. Newsletter (news and events sent to the subscribers every so often) 4. News and Events (Gathering of events with general information about them, button for registration) 5. Registration for Membership and Events with the payment options (gathering all the needed information for the event, tracking amount of registered people and availability, etc.) 6. Front page with rotating banners of the upcoming events and featured information. 7. Footer with all the contact information and all the emails, with the links to the essential parts of the website and resources. 8. Graphically website will have a simple and clean layout with a hint of client's style to it (design ideas provided). 9. Website Development will include creating all of the designs (home page, deeper page, blog, store, resources, events page, community network) as well as coding the HTML + CSS and putting it all in a content management system (CMS). WordPress is preferred, but would also consider others. Site will also need to be tweaked for optimum Search Engine optimization. Also included will be putting in all the initial content and creating all the necessary modules (slider, feedback form, donation, etc.) Store: 1. New and understandable way of presenting all products. 2. Ability to search products by type, by conference and by speaker. 3. Several categories of products: Audio, Books, DVD's. 4. Ability to checkout with Paypal, Credit/Debit Card. 5. Network users automatically have an account in the store. 6. Email notification of purchase with receipt. 7. Each product will have Related products section to display similar products (same author, same conference, etc) 8. Ability to preview product (short audio/video excerpts, First chapter of the book PDF, etc) Network Directory 1. Mini-social networking website. 2. Registered users are able to become "friends" and keep in contact. 3. Email address is hidden and all the correspondence is made through the website messaging system (with email notifications, similar to Facebook) 4. People are able to see on the map all the registered families in their areas. 5. Ability to manage "friends", messages, groups from the website. 6. Ability to have forums and discussions. Resources 1. Free resources for download from the website. 2. Links to the helpful resources 3. Resources with ability to share and to print. 4. Ability to search resources by topic, date, author, event.
