Classic ASP Ajax Dropdownlist

We have a classic ASP application running under SQL Server. The requirement is to introduce an AJAX based field for the customer surname with the following behaviour. 1.? When the user enters a 3 or more charactes into the the surname field a dropdownlist will be displayed. 2. The dropdown list will contain matching customer records from the SQL Server database.? ? 3. The user? can at that stage either continue typing a new surname? or select an entry from the dropdownlist.? 4. Each keypress wiull further filter the available records in the dropdown list. 5. The server side sql will be in a stored procedure (we will provide this code) 4. If the user selects a record from the dropdownlist it will populate the custimers details into the form. 5. The solution should be an ajax drven input html field that will require a client side connection to the database.? If possible the ajaxed library should be used (<[login to view URL]>) 6. We will provide FTP access to the online test environment ## Deliverables ** Additional Information Added 2/4/09 in response to bidder enquiries. a)? The code must be written in Classic ASP. b)? The scope of the requirement is to? modify only the one ASP input form provided in the test environment. c) The existing ASP input? form? should have the old? field replaced with the new AJAX driven field and functionality.? d)? An example screen shot of the screen has been attached. The field that should be replaced is the 'Last Name' field.
