Creating and modifying simple header menu to a WordPress child theme

You will need to create a simple header and to apply it to a child theme. The header is attached at the bottom of the project.
Requirements:
* The header menu must support the default menu links: Top-Header Menu & Main Menu offered form WP and to keep the search option.
Keep in mind:
* The default theme support changing the color of the layout, so I want to keep this option.
* The theme is responsive so I would like to keep the responsiveness after adding the header.
