DEVELOPMENT OF TREND BLAST WEBSITE

Trend Blast ([login to view URL]) is a community website promoting latest cool products and ideas from around the world in the areas of: Fashion Accessories Home Giftware Design Travel Inspiration The website is now in need of a redesign in order to accommodate more content through the site and promote products in a new e-commerce store. The new design layout has been developed and is attached here with this document. The website is to be built using WordPress. Features: Each trend featured will have a hyperlink to its relevant Category e.g. Fashion. Visitors can click on the hyperlink in any story and see other Fashion trend stories. For Travel there may also be a location hyperlink e.g. Travel/Paris, or Travel/London. Again if visitors click London they will see all relevant London related stories. The homepage will update based on the newest story (by date published) and will only contact excerpt of story with Read More> As the stories get older they will automatically drop down the Homepage Sign Up (Registration) The website will enable people to have their own profile and upload trend stories to the site including images and video. If we feature a trend from a registered user their profile will be shown alongside trends we use on Trend Blast. [login to view URL] is an example of this: Registration process: People can register/sign in by setting Email and Username and Password details or by using their Facebook or Twitter log-in details Email confirmation of new registrations should be sent to users and also Trend Blast email Social sharing Each trend on Trend Blast will have social share features including: Facebook Like Facebook Share Tweet G+1 PInterest Twitter Feed and Facebook Feed There will also be a Twitter roll at the top of the site - showing our tweets. There will also be a Twitter feed and Facebook feed at the bottom of the site in the footer area. There are plug-ins for these features for WordPress Translation The site should also have translation buttons for various languages E-Commerce Store There will also be an e-commerce store - where Trend Blast will promote products from partners from around the world. It will be the partners of Trend Blast who fulfil the orders mainly (with a few products directly held in stock and fufilled by Trend Blast). Trend Blast will receive payment from customers on the website and will then pay partners (minus agreed % commission).
