Convert latitude/longitude points in database to a kml/kmz file using mapserver/google maps API.

I currently have a web based application running where I draw a polygon on a map using the Google Maps API and the latitude/longitude points of that polygon are stored on a postgresql database table. I need to have a script/process written that converts the latitude/longitude points and other relevant information into a KML/KMZ file for ingest and display on another map application (which also uses the Google maps API). To clarify, the underlying code to create the polygon and generate the lat/lon points and then store them in the database is already done and functioning without error. The end user map display where I need to post the KML/KMZ file produced in this project is also already in place and functioning. I only need the code written that will grab those lat/lon points from the database and generate the KML/KMZ file for posting on the end user's page. Mapserver is already in place on my server, so the above process should not be difficult from what I understand.
