I would like to customize an existing Python library (written in Python 3.0) to work in Python 2.7. It should be an easy task, since I don't need the full scope of the library, but specific sections.
The project deals with MIDI files (Musical Instrument Digital Interface), and if you are familiar with the format or know some music, then you should be able to understand what the code does.
The part I am interested in is the ability to 'stitch' together 2 or more MIDI files, for example given a list of MIDI files_list = [[login to view URL], [login to view URL], [login to view URL]], then a function such as midi_stitch(files_list, '[login to view URL]'), should create a [login to view URL] file which is simple the combination of the two files sequentially.
Here are two good Python libraries to manipulate MIDI files:
1) This is the one in Python 3.0 that apparently has what I need: [login to view URL]
2) This one in Python 2.7 has a lot of the elements I need: [login to view URL]
Thank you
