Design a new tool based on python script that will simulate the connectivity of an ad-hoc wireless network.
The user will provide a point feature class containing the locations of the nodes, and set the maximum range
Accordingly, the tool should:
1- Generate all the possible links between the nodes as lines. They'll be called Secondary Links
2- Allocate a sub-network to each group of interconnected nodes and their links as a polygon
3- For each sub-network, set the most central node as the local gateway (set as a new attribute)
I've got prior experience in ns3, though I would like to try to wrap this up using core graph concepts instead of jumping to external dependencies.
This seems to be a graph intensive project and I would be able to complete it within time.
