Hi, We usually take pictures for reference and sculpt them in Zbrush for a high realistic poly model and make the model topology in Maya for rigging and animation. If you provide the basic layout with dimensions, I can draw the floor plan in Auto CAD with furniture, fixtures etc. Then I can draw the 3D facade (elevation) of the same house also.
