Comp II Final

The Final Project in this course is more than an essay, as it is a means for you to influence change in your community or workplace by creating a logical argument supported by research. Perhaps you are arguing for a marginalized group of society, or to right an injustice or just to change a policy.  In all of these examples or a situation you have identified, you can stimulate positive change through the writing assignments developed in this course. This project may even help further define your career path or interests to further enrich your life. Here is my topic: High school printed textbooks should be replaced with e-books Summary of the Final Project Requirements Format American Psychological Association (APA) manuscript and citation format Tone Formal or academic, Standard American English Research Five reliable sources, including at least one book and one periodical Length Approximately 1,200 words (not including title page and reference page) Content Title page in APA manuscript format Argument (essay) with introduction, body, and conclusion paragraphs Thesis statement at the end of the introduction  In-text citations to note ideas from sources References page, only listing sources actually cited in the essay Visuals Graphics can be included, though they need to be labeled appropriately, cited if from a source, and explained in the text of the paragraph (e.g., As seen in Graphic 1,...) Reflection A separate paragraph after the Reference Page; this paragraph will reflect on how the skills learned by writing the argument can be used for future writing success.
