There are many different branches, or types of dentistry in this sub- medical field. One of those particular branches, is called Prosthodontics. This is where Dental Bridge or Fixed Partial denture procedures will take place. The procedure is where the doctor will take a small, and fitted metal 'bridge' to fill a gap between one or two teeth where there is one missing, or where one has been pulled. On either side of the gap, there will be
two separate crowns placed, and the small metal bars attached will go between the two crowned teeth. In dental terminology you will hear your dentist and assistants refer to the crowned teeth as abutment teeth. And the false placement teeth will be called Pontiacs; these are all different dental terms. The false teeth, or Pontiacs are often made of different materials molded into one. This will allow for the feeling and construction of a 'real' tooth.
I put my turn around time as one day, to let you know that when given an assignment, my general turn around time is 24 hours. Thank you!
