Hi there! Is it on-premises environment you are running? Are there any architectural nuances or just a synchronization of SQL DB table to SharePoint list? How many contact records in contacts table? Are there lookup fields or a simple data type only? I have a flexible solution for ETL (extract transform load) for SharePoint, including SQL to SharePoint list sync, that I could use as a bootstrap for your project, so there would be minimal technical risks. SQL to SharePoint ETL solution uses CSOM (SharePoint client side object model) so it could run on any windows server in your network, it could be triggered on schedule basis and there is no need in farm admin permission for the application. This can be done using a SSIS package utilizing the existing SQL server services where a job will run every 1 hour or at any duration depending upon the fact how frequently the employees get updated in SQL server table and then can be imported back into SharePoint . We can set up Slowly changing dimension which can basically insert new rows or check for any updates done to existing employee and update share point list

This task appears to be simple. We can use the concept of BCS of sharepoint to create this contact list which is directly sync with the sharepoint. Not sure how is the current list implemented but i can do this for lesser amount with a hope that we can get in contact for future projects. Regards, Syed
