I've create tests for the app based on webkit. Also I have a good experience in writing unit test and test driving development (maybe It is not exact what you want) About your task I suppose it will be a text document with test plan and some script that tests the c++ program. To tell you exactly I need more info about your program, It's API and execution environment.
