Hello, About me: I have a masters in mechanical engineering and currently work as a project engineer at a large networking equipment manufacturer. My job utilizes sheet metal design and detailing skills (with SW) on a daily bases. As such I can quickly and accurately deliver full shop drawings for manufacture. Prior to this position, I worked as a research engineer in a robotics laboratory doing mechanical design and fabrication. I have an extremely deep knowledge of design for manufacture and can translate this to help reduce the cost of fabrication of this design. I also taught a computer aided engineering course to senior undergraduate students in university for two years, guaranteeing you will get a robust design with all necessary details called out in the drawing. About the project/deliverable: I can quickly create the sheet metal component in Solidworks and will hand over the model file, a SW drawing file, and a pdf drawing file. Any revisions to the initial deliverable is priced in. I do have some questions about dimensions. The small cut outs on the underside of the lip are not placed. Do they have necessary dimensions from the sides? When sheet metal is bent, it is never done at a perfect lossless angle. As such designs build in extra material for the bend radius.
