We are developing a shelter system to be used for humanitarian and disaster relief purposes and are looking to understand the structural capability of the shelter. Although we communicate our shelter as “better than a tent” we believe it has a level of structural integrity that we would like to qualify.
We are interested in having our product modeled in Autodesk Robot Structure 2009, professional 2010. There are 9 basic models and iterations of each.
Please quote the cost for the modeling work and making available the models to us.
In addition please quote the price for running analysis and providing us the results for each model but include this price separately.
Using these models and the International Building Code 2006 (IBC 2006) allowable loads for wind and earthquake (seismic) loads will be determined.
A formal report will detail the results of these analysis including maximum wind speed, wind design category (the definitions of these words will be explained in the report) and earthquake loads. The report will include an example of an earthquake that occurred in the past that the structures would have been able to withstand without damage.
We feel that this is a worthwhile cause to be involved in and we are pleased to provide our tender price based on the scope of works document (see PM).
