A critical Review about MPEG-DASH.

Hello there,

Thank you first of all for having a look at my posted job.

I am doing a research about the Dynamic Adaptive video streaming over HTTP, mainly on (MPEG-DASH), and I am considering streaming HD and 4K video on demand contents over different types of networks (Wired and Wireless networks). I have been collecting some Objective evaluation (i.e. PSNR) and will do some subjective evaluation (MOS).

I was basing my work on an open source called DashCast (Can be found: [login to view URL] )

I did write a massive introduction and literature review about the different protocols and studies of streaming (e.g. RTP/RSTP, Progressive download, DASH in general including HAS, Smooth streaming and Adobe DASH), also I wrote about the subjective and objective evaluation based on streaming video.

I want someone to help me in writing a critical review about the MPEG-DASH. The references to be IEEE style and they must be up to date, and since the recent 3 years. They must be based on Journals not conferences. The targeted journals mainly are IEEE transactions, Springer, ACM and Elsevier journals.

The work must be in highly standard of English and to be proof read before I receive the completed version.

This Review must be CRITICAL not descriptive, so while you are writing to be considering what I am working on (from the networking side and different types of the video contents such as resolutions, bitrates, etc.). So, you are expected to criticise the other people's work. Also, I want you some figures and tables to be invented for comparisons of different techniques for instance. In summery, I want you to survey the work has been done on MPEG-DASH technology for the recent 3 years, no before 2014, and to be including what was the type of video and their bitrates as well as the frame rates, and also what's the testbed environment looks like and these could be done in tables or whatever you think is better)

NOTE please, I am also requiring a PowerPoint presentation summarising this work.

Lastly, please state how long it would to take for finalising this task.
