Digital Music Store [digital downloads and possible streaming of music]
Some things that the music store would feature is:
Homepage:
- 5 items displayed per row
- space on the side and bottom of page for advertisements
- Vendor sign up
Product Page (when a customer clicks on the album or single they wish to purchase):
- Previewable track listing on product description pages
- Metadata supplied by artist/label
Customers:
- customers can search by genre, artist or title
- customers may listen to a 30 second preview of each song
- customers can purchase individual tracks instead of album
- customers may pay by credit card or PayPal
- streaming capabilities (not required. open for discussion)
Artist/Label Back end:
- Artists/Labels can view their releases, sales and revenue
- Artists/Labels would sign up and submit their music, metadata, release date and artwork, which would then forward to me for approval. Once approved the music would go live on the release date entered by the artist/label.
- Artist/Label can send us a message through their account.
My back end:
- I will need a breakdown, listed by title and categorized by vendor, of each sale (for Soundscan reporting)
- The ability to add and edit titles and information in Artist/Label accounts
- Ability to edit and modify all aspects of page
