Hi. I would like to learn more about your xslt project.
I can produce an xslt file that, when run on your input file,
produces output such as the following:
Purchase Order Date,Purchase Order Number,Item Code,Quantity,Delivery Address,P.O. Comments
2016-11-04,4519,138,2,"GMobility;11 Hazel Drive;Warragul VIC 3820",""
2016-11-04,4519,183F,2,"GMobility;11 Hazel Drive;Warragul VIC 3820",""
Questions:
Q1. What version of XSL is supported by Windward?
(I did not find this in the docs. Later versions help simplify code to remove RTF.)
Q2. How should quote characters be handled in the csv file?
(Simplest is to translate " to '. Some programs expect doubled quotes.)
Q3. Address:
Q3.1 Should the Delivery Address include a name (the InvoiceName for the Company?)
Q3.2 Will an address ever have multiple Address lines? (like Account address or Contact address)?
Q3.3 In the xml file, City is "Warragul, VIC", and LocalState is "VIC". Is the duplicate ", VIC" in City value a data error to be ignored by the xsl, or must the xsl remove ", VIC" ?
Q3.5 As I understand, the Delivery Address is all in one column in the csv file. Should lines separated by line breaks (linefeed ), or some other character like the ';' used above?
Q4. Comments:
Q4.1 Should both Item/PurchaseOrderComment and Purchase/POComments be included in the P.O. Comments column?
Q4.2. What version(s) of RTF may appear in the POComments? Will \u unicode char tags need conversion?
I look forward to your reply.
