Context Trend’Fun’Logistics is a global leader in sourcing, inspecting and logistics company for recyclable/renewable and second choice/stock-lot materials. They have been in the business for the last 30 years, present globally including Americas, Europe, Middle East and Asia. Their current revenue is ~500mil USD and is expected to grow multifold. Their existing Trading platform has the following modules • Order management ( Sales & Purchase order) • Inventory & Allocation • Documentation ( Customs & Legal documents) • Shipping & Handling • Payments • Logistics & Delivery This is a legacy solution that is not able to scale as their business grows. Details of the problem with their platform are listed in the next section. Problem statement at hand • Need to scale existing Trading Platform to support future trade volumes • Need to improve user experience and increase efficiency which will enable to generate more revenue Some of the challenges they have with the existing platforms are • System is not intuitive to their users • Users spend too much time on excel sheets and manual work • Workflows are very rigid and does not allow for edits.
