Multicharts conversion

Project Description Need to be able to use/program for MultiCharts .NET [login to view URL] which is designed for C# and VB.NET developers. Scenario: We already have indicators programmed in EasyLanguage for the 'standard' version of MultiCharts. We apply those indicators to various watchlists of stocks. The custom indicators output a value for each stock. We currently need to manually right-click and export or copy and paste the results into an excel sheet. Want to be able to program the automation and exporting of these results from the indicators into e.g. a CSV file. Possibly even schedule it. But in simplest case, have e.g. a button we can click that will run a kind of macro that will run the custom indicators over a universe of stocks and output the results into a file as we define. Global delayed data o We have a limitation of being able to only display/download data for 250 stocks at a time. o We need to run our indicators and get the indicator/signal values on the (Australia) ASX 300 index stocks, the S&P 500 index stocks (United Stated) and the FTSE 250 index stocks (UK Index) o At the moment to do this, we open one watchlist with an indicator/signal in multicharts, wait for it to load all the results –> right click -> export to excel. Close that watchlist, open the next and repeat the process. There are currently 6 watch lists (we needed to split each index stock list into two to cater for the 250 symbol limit) and two main indicators. We also need Daily and Weekly data analysis - - - so there are 24 repetitions of opening a saved watch list and indicator/signal, right clicking and exporting to excel o We don’t mind the output being put into e.g. a CVS file, but we then need an excel macro/workbook that can scan a folder where these files are put and import the data and run some analysis over the data we get out of Multicharts. We have the rules. o Right now we manually copy and paste the raw data into a spreadsheet that is pre-setup to do the analysis and just save a new copy each day. o We want a historical record of all the results, o We then have a few other spreadsheets (tied into Reuters Datastream for all the fundamental data) that we effectively need to open, and have a macro that updates the data through the Datastream plugin, save and close. o Once all the sheets are updated and the multicharts technical analysis is incorporated, there is a file that we open that is linked to everything and gives us filtered results. o There also is some error checking that needs to happen e.g. what a symbol changes or when last prices don’t match up between multicharts and Reuters, or when a value out of multicharts is an error. We have all these rules, but we need to semi-manual check them each day. At the moment everything is manual – but it is the exact same process every time with clicks and saving. We want to streamline and automate the process where we just open up e.g. a master spreadsheet – make sure MultiCharts is running – and at a set time each day everything just runs, data downloaded, sheets updated – and we get sent the final results output.
