Hello I designed an audio detector circuit using an opamp, followed by a peak detector stage (also opamp). Right now my circuit is not working well, I need a hardware engineer who knows a lot about OPAMPS to help me figure out what is wrong. One constraint I have is that I cannot change the circuit configuration or layout since its on a circuit board, I can just change the component values.
I have attached a picture of the schematic. The circuit is already on a PCB so I cant change anything, only the component values. The idea of the circuit is to amplify any audio signal, then send it to a peak detector, then to a micro-controller A/D input. When it detects a sound the micro-controller can trigger something.
The problems are:
1. The output sometimes has a pop, or a glitch, that causes the micro-controller to trigger even when there is no audio input.
2. The circuit is not sensitive enough, (low gain)
3. I can only change component values since the circuit is already on a PCB.
