Having a rebuilt home on a property that is along a River. I already have an architect who is working on the plans and he said that I may need a civil engineer. The property is above flood stage. The properties dimensions is 60ft by 140 feet deep. I have a survey of the property as well in which I will include a copy. This is what my architect advised me of: " You will need a civil engineer since you are exceeding 50% of the current value...the engineer will make sure the floor is 2' above flood level, he can answer what is needed." Please, only Civil Engineers need apply. Prefer those much closer to home. Also I am looking to submit plans for permits between March1st and April 1st 2020. Thank you.
