I have a working D3 force directed project. And I'd like to add zoom and drag functionality with mouse movements. Zoom: - using mouse wheel to scroll up/down to zoom in/out Drag: - mouse click and hold to drag the whole map. My project has data from MySQL database. - Enter gene "sox10" => click "Search gene" - select "Show" - component ... Thanks for your time.

Hi, Matt S Rinc here and I can help you with your project. Last year doing animations and data visualizations for my PhD studies and can do D3.js animations too (currently one over freelancer). I presume your working example is how you want to have your visualization. As long as you have clear data structure for force layout e.g. your nodes (genes?) and relations between them (links - all of them have to be specified in d3.js structure) then a D3.js script can read them OR I can read your CSV, XLS or even MySQL dump and convert it to JSON format that is fine for D3.js.
