HI, if both servers are in network and is in Active directory domain, we can simply set snapshot replication between both sql server it will sync both database at every 5 sec(you can change it to 1 sec if needed) that way both database will be in sync. i have been doing in my daily job so will be easy for me. I have worked extensively on backup and restore solutions and setting up DRs and migration other than all the database administrative tasks for SQL Server. I don't want to false commit but the solution would depend on your requirement: Can you answer these questions: 1. Do you really want a real time data transfer or a small delay of a few minutes is fine? 2. How much transaction happens on the first database? 3. Would the secondary copy be purely treated as a backup Or do you want to use it for some other purpose like reporting etc? 4. How many databases do you have on the first server? Hi, I have 14 years of experience with SQL Server and I have been participating of some projects of SQL Server High availability. In your case is possible to deploy a cluster solution using SQL Server Alwayson or may Log shipping that is simpler than Cluster.
