Hello, I am an expert in raspberry pi firmware programming and openCV programming with more than 6+ years of experience and I read your job posting very interestingly, and I am very excited to complete your project successfully. I have done smart switch system based on Raspberry pi 3 model B and openCV 3.3 that has various models for object detection such as MobileNet model, YOLO COCO, YOLO 9000, HOG model with SVM classification algorithm and so on. And I have rich experiences in signal processing such as fingerprint identification, ECG/EEG/EMG recognition and classification, Iris recognition, LPR detection, OCR and so on. ########################################## I have some questions for your project. Are you going to use Raspberry pi camera to detect human? Should I buy all components here or would you but them there? If you buy them there, I will guide you to install raspbian OS, how to execute firmware program and so on. Which model are you going to use ? Hi, I'm an electronic engineer with more than 5 years of experience in embedded systems development. I'm proficient in raspberry pi and I've been using open CV for many of projects on raspberry pi. I've decided to apply for the project as I have previously worked in face detection algorithm, so I believe based on that, I can provide you a solution. Since you need a people counter, I think best way to come across is the use of a face detection algorithm. Only issue would be finding distinctive faces in a open environment. Hello, I am sharing a few ideas with you, we can discuss them further in the chat. The performance of the people counter system depends on the camera quality and position. I need to model the background, then it is easy to detect human bodies. Then I need to model the human motion to track them, so I can count the entering and leaving ones.

Hi, I am an electronic engineer specializing in computer vision and deep learning. I have been working on similar projects, including people traffic counting, smart surveillance, video analytics, face recognition, person re-identification, object tracking, etc. Moreover I have worked with computer vision applications on small board computers such as raspberry pi, odroid, udoo, etc. I will be able to provide an elegant solution (using image processing or even deep learning and AI approaches). If using OpenCV, you could use the machine learning method with Fast R-CNN algorithm for object segmentation. It is able detect objects within a frame of image under 1 secs. So, if your video has low frame rate, this method would be feasible. Otherwise use another algorithm called YOLO. This able to process for around 45 fps
