Motor run timer

Hello, Thanks for posting the project. I am an Electrical Engineer with 30 years’ experience of Customized Product Development for Instrumentation and Control applications. I am based in Kolkata (India) and running a business in the name of "Zetek Systems". I have a good hardware setup and a team for fabrication and testing. My solution will be based on AT89S52 micro-controller. It is available in through hole package, as well as in surface mount package. There can be a set of 7 segment display and key- switches to enable user to fix the motor running time. The motor control output can be a relay. Hi, I want to ask you if this project would be coded for general purpose motor driver? Or you would use it in a specific environment/device? For your project probably a simple 8bit mcu will be sufficient for you. There are plenty of them in the market and readily available to pick them. Also have you though about future improvements?
