Regarding your project - I can give you hand calculations proving your truss structure good for both stress and deflection, whilst complying with local codes of practice, and also provide you with an FE model in FEMAP, which could then be run in NASTRAN or similar - at the moment I do not have access to a NASTRAN licence.
