I am looking for the exact VBA code that will allow me to do the following in Excel: I want to have a custom function in Excel that references two other cells, one with the ticker of a stock eg AAPL and one with a date. The function should then pull the closing price of the stock on that date. The API I want to use for the code is AlphaVantage, they have a full documentation here: [login to view URL] Everything is explained well in the documentation, but to be clear I want the function to return just the "close" price from the TIME_SERIES_DAILY API at a given date that is somewhere on spreadsheet and nothing else. This should take no time at all for someone who knows what they're doing, unfortunately I have no experience with parsing JSON. If there are any questions please let me know! I'll give a good tip if someone can do it quickly, thanks!

I have extensive experience with Direct HTTP methods and JSON parsing. I have previously worked on extracting Stock Open, High, Low, Close data in order to plot them on candlestick charts. I will use these methods to achieve your desire. I will easily be able to extract the Daily values having looked at the API and the output JSON string from those.
