(I have a strong understanding of relational database and how to get the best out of it. I have done some serious SQL in my previous job mostly reporting combined with calculations. One of my other projects was to: Receive raw data from an instrument usually csv, tab, ore some obscure thing. This could be a table format or just long list. I would then convert it to a spread sheet, the data in a table format. Data was highlighted on this spread sheet exported in very specific csv format. This data was imported into our “Lab information system”. From there I extracted information from the database using SQL and created a report consisting of tables. These were then checked and automatically emailed to the client. Some of these spread sheets are still in use 10 years later.
