New Corporate Dynamic Website - Wordpress or Joomla

We are a Web 2.0 Services and Software Product Start-up seeking a qualified web design / programming partner to fully design and implement a dynamic corporate website that uses either WordPress or Joomla for CMS. Please recommend which of these two CMS platforms you would use and why. IMPORTANT: DO NOT submit a bid on this project until you've reviewed the design styles outlined below and believe your prior work and design skills qualify you to build this site for our company. We ARE NOT looking for a simple technical website implementation. We MUST HAVE Art Direction Support, IA Design Support and Killer Graphic Design Support Lastly we need rock-solid implementation of the site that allows us to host with a third party and easily manage content changes on our own. We will expect and need your assistance in moving the finished site to a hosting partner. We will not make final payment until the site is fully live and working without any bugs or defects. SITE FUNCTIONALITY In addition to normal web navigation we will need to allow for Users to register for Newsletter mailings, RSS Feeds, Twitter Feeds and other Social networking Links. We will also need the website to easily allow us to embed hosted video from sites like youtube or Vimeo as well as other dynamic media like SlideShare, etc. FUTURE FUNCTIONALITY Future functionality might incorporate some simple eCommerce Subscription Transactions for purchasing subscriptions to online content like eLearning Videos, etc. CONTRACT TERMS: You MUST sign an NDA first and we will then forward you more details on the content and navigation we have in mind. We will require a contract that states that we own all rights to the finished designs and that under no circumstances will the provider be allowed to re-sell or re-use our website design with others. PAYMENT TERMS: We will escrow 50% of the winning bid at the inception of the project , however we will not release any payments until the site is fully designed, coded, tested, approved and live online at our hosting site. TIMELINE / DATES/WORKING HOURS: We need to complete and go live with our site no later than Sep 25, 2009 We prefer providers that can collaborate with us during U.S. east coast time zone - 8am - 7pm EDT.
