The girl is too tired to notice, so he follows her up to her flat that she shares with Candela Benites and pushes his way in when she unlocks the door. Before she can say anything, he quickly slits her throat with a knife and watches her bleed out before he leaves. Candela Benites decides to stay out all night, a decision she will soon regret. CH 1/Scene 2 - Candela Benites comes home to her Amsterdam flat just as the sun is coming up. The door is open and she calls out for her flatmate who does not respond. As a criminology student, Candela realizes when she sees the dead body and the huge pool of blood, it is obvious that it is too late to save her. Was Candela next? Was the murderer still in the flat?
