I would like to hire a WordPress Developer

We are a small non-profit Native American Church that has started an Institute focused on teaching future Medicine People and Spiritual Leaders the tools they need in order to heal others. We have a website that has been worked on ([login to view URL]), but we are not fully happy with the quality or content currently. We hare trying to create an online program and we also have onsite workshops and we need to set our site up so that we can attract people to sign up for our online course and also take the onsite courses (which are currently listed as events on the site (using the event espresso plug-in) but need a bit more graphically and content-wise in order to motivate folks to take our courses. We also need to set up our membership tracking with MailChimp and make sure that is tied in nicely. Our main site, [login to view URL] is our landing page and used to educate visitors about our programs and to educate/direct our members to our different courses/resources. It is also used for folks to sign up for, create a profile for and then take the introductory lessons in our 52 week lesson online course using LearnDash. Once they have completed the four self-paced introductory lessons then they go to our subdomain, [login to view URL] and take the other 48 lessons on a set yearly schedule that is paced so that everyone is at the same point at the same time every year. Obviously the person I work with should know LearnDash SocialLearner as I am looking for a LearnDash/LMS master. What I need for this project is this: First, if possible, I would like to be able to connect our members between the two websites. If they register on [login to view URL], then it should also give them the same log-in on the subdomain. I prefer not to use WordPress multisite if I can at all avoid it and I understand there are potentially a few ways to do that. I don’t want multi-site because I maintain the site myself and I know that multisite isn’t especially intuitive and has a different interface than the regular WP dashboard. Apparently, it is possible to do it with some coding or special plug-ins like: [login to view URL]<[login to view URL]>and [login to view URL]<[login to view URL]> I don’t know if those are the best solution, but they are things I just came across in a search. Now, this being said, it is not vital that we have to share user databases, as folks who take the online course have to set up a profile anyway, but it would be nice if they didn’t have to enter the same info twice, and if they stayed logged in when they moved between the sites. I have thought about just having all of this on one site, but I really prefer to keep them separate for a few reasons. I don’t particularly like the look of the subdomain for anything than what it is specifically designed for, a site that allows people to take online courses. It has a combo Facebook/Online education feel to it and I don’t think it would be appropriate for my landing page. I know that Invent works with LearnDash and I will likely utilize that in the future in some way, but I like having the separate site with the forums there and that community havign its own space. The second thing, and most troubling for me right now, is the coursework subscriptions and how to set it up. While there is currently only one course, there are two separate ways to pay for it. The first is to pay $50/month for 12 months ($600 for the year-long course) and the second is pay $550 up front and take advantage of a $50 discount. So the first issue is how to set this up so that there are two separate payment options, which seems easy at first until you see what my other requests are. Normally the way that LearnDash works is that folks buy a course and then they have that course for a set period of time and progress through the course at their own pace. However, we want to limit folks so that they progress at a week-by-week pace. We are doing this because there is an interactive component to the course, in that we have a weekly conference call mid-week in order that folks can have read the material and then can hear the material presented by a facilitator. Thus, we don’t want folks going on until they have had a chance to have the teleconference and complete the exercises for that week. To recap so far, there are 52 total lessons that will occur once/week over the year and each lesson is designated to a specific week of the year and whether folks pay monthly or in full, they have the same schedule, as long as all payments are made. Another issue that complicates this is that we have four introductory lessons, the first one which is free (Lesson 1 is free to all who register on the site). Thus, normally the first four weeks of January would be the introductory lessons (1-4), and then the next 48 weeks consist of lessons 5-52. However, it is also the case that people can join the course at any time during the year, and thus we may have a situation where people take the introductory lessons at other times of the year and then join us wherever we are at that time in the course. Then at the end of the calendar year they would start back at lesson 5 and go through until they had completed all the courses. Thus, someone may start in June, complete the introductory courses and then start with us July 1st. They would go thru to the end of the year, start in January with lesson 5 and then go through to lesson 52 by the end of June. To potentially complicate things even further, we want to make sure that folks don’t lose their work. So, in other words, even though this is like a subscription product, we want them to be able to access past resources at any time in the future. I suppose to prevent bloat, we might have to have them download anything that is specific to them, and that there would then be a page where folks could access resources/lessons that they had already seen in the past without being required to subscribe for the course again after the first year. We would also want them to continue to be able to access our forums and communicate with both past graduates and current participants. Finally, we want to set it up so that if those paying month to month stop paying during the year for any reason, that their subscription would just be put on hold for a certain period. While they would lose access to future coursework until they resumed payments, they would maintain access to past work. If/when they resume their subscription, then they can finish the remaining lessons – in essence, a pause feature. We may even want to put the free Introductory less on the main site [login to view URL], because currently if they register for our newsletter, pop-up is on the main site for new visitors, they are given free access to the first lesson. Of course, everyone has that access, but we point folks to it if they subscribe. Hope you guys have some suggestions for this and if so, I would like to see if we could make this happen and by when.
