A penciller, an inker and a letterer

Hello, I’m looking to collaborate with artists on a chapter by chapter basis, to produce educational comic books. The initial starting three would be centred around: Hip Hop/Grime/Song Lyrics (As a means of teaching English Language) Bitcoin (As an introduction to money management and prep for cryptocurrencies) How To Survive An Apocalypse. (The last one sounds off point, but is a great way into making people curious about the world.) Funds initially raised through a campaign on Unbound or Kickstarter. Upon discussion we can contract as to the split for your payment and whether you wish to retain IP rights or get your total payment upfront. Inspirations for what these comics might look like are Werner Pohlert’s ‘Basic Harmony’ and Scott McCloud’s books on understanding comics. Of course, these are just ideas, you people are the visual artists - I’m very much interested in collaborating. Still reading? Ok, about me: I’m an English teacher who has been struck by how successfully comic books have helped many of my students to enjoy and understand classic works of literature. This experience has taught me that comic books have a potentially wider application across the curriculum and beyond. Whilst this might not be the usual pitch, the potential market for these is significant, both in terms of the number of schools I’d be looking to get these into and the wider market outside of schools.
