I would like to export PowerPoint data and import it into Illustrator with layer names. The normal import process does not keep the layer names. I believe this can be done in two parts. Exporting from PowerPoint and Importing in Illustrator. I have done the first part.
I have created a VBA script that exports the data from PowerPoint to pdf files.
See the following dropbox link for the exported files

Your job is to import these pdf's into Illustrator by writing a script.
In this example there are 3 slides in the PowerPoint, so the result would need to be 3 illustrator files called Slide [url removed, login to view], Slide [url removed, login to view] and Slide [url removed, login to view]
To use the first slide as an example. There are 3 files listed below.
1.1 [url removed, login to view]
1.2 [url removed, login to view]
1.3 [url removed, login to view]
Each file contains the layer name in the filename. So when imported into Illustrator the following layer names would be used.
PowerPoint also includes a background. This will always be the last sub layer. When doing the importing this needs to be deleted. It is a blue background.
I have created an index file that contains all the files that were exported. This may be easier to read then trying to read what files are in the folder.
Some of the files give import errors when read into Illustrator. The files import o.k. so these can be ignored.
