Two Harbors, MN. Wolph Pack Designs (WPD), an innovative treatment center for sufferers of PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) and TBI (Traumatic Brain Disorder) is looking for their Clinical Child Psychologist to help Children of Active and Veteran Military/First Responder Personnel.
Job overview
The Medical Unit is looking for a new child psychologist that helps the children in our clients families overcome the day to day stress of living life with PTSD/ TBI. The children are considered in outpatient psychotherapy caseload. The child psychologist should be known for their child-focused mental health care either throughout their education or internship experiences.
Job Duties Job duties include but are not limited to:
Carrying all child psychotherapy caseloads for each client family
Assessing, conducting treatment planning and psychotherapy, and discharging the client
Administer supervision of the clinic’s child psychologist intern
Attend business meeting, clinical meetings, case load consultations, and mental health conferences
Compliance with all legal documentation standards and laws including APA and AAMFT board rules and Code of Ethics
Maintain professional standards with other staff, patients, and other business contractors
Assisting in peer-reviews of patient files
Adherence to directives by the Chief Medical Officer
Requirements
A doctoral degree in Psychology or Counseling from a regionally-accredited academic program.
Full, unrestricted licensure as a Mental Health Professional in Minnesota (or license-eligible)
Designation as a board-approved supervisor with respective licensing board (preferred)
Ability and willingness to service patients primarily on an outpatient basis
Flexibility to meet when patients are available to meet
Evidence of a high level of professionalism within the field
Strong clinical acumen
Experience with Infant & Child mental health (preferred)
Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary treatment team
Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills
Ability and willingness to provide services to children, adolescents, adults, couples, or families as assigned
Ability to respect diversity and integrate issues of culture into case conceptualizations
Ability to engage with patients who may be ambivalent about treatment
Ability to adapt interventions to patients’ strengths, skills, and developmental levels
Commitment to empowering patients to solve their own problems when necessary
Ability to intervene decisively, when necessary, to protect patient safety
Ability to comply with clinic documentation standards and best professional practices
Ability to maintain a full caseload as defined by clinic
Benefits
Starting pay is at $95,000+ per year but has yearly increases.
Full time mental health professional of which will be broken into segments and where the clinical professional can use their office for additional services to bring in (more commission)
