Currently, I am setting up my system as below Github repo -> AWS jenkins -> build docker images -> push to dockerhub And then AWS Jenkins -> run in staging server to call dockherhub to get new images All of this flow is automatically run via Jenkins pipeline. On Docker build steps self, SCM repository can be cloned and build docker image. To get access to Private repository SSH keys should be added in SCM. SSH Keys can be read from local machine (by asking path) of key file. This key can be used to clone repository from SCM. All build steps can be configured in Docker file and using docker-compose commands , environment and volumes can be managed easily.

I have set up docker containers numerous times for our university's software development club projects. I have also done a project that automatically gets all commits, issues and pull requests for an organization using Github's REST API.
