UBUNTU wireless to use a static IP

Need help getting my UBUNTU wireless to use a static IP ? Currently this is booting onto the LAN fine; we can work on google hangouts and I can share my desktop. Want to learn how to do this as well as get this done? Is $10 ok? (If not how much?) (Did I miss something?) This is something I want to work on and finish right now if you are available.
