Sounds Interesting. I would like to use Gradient Boosting Algorithm (probably LightGBM) for this problem. I will assume, you have tabular data with various attributes. I am sure LightGBM will perform very good in this problem. I will divide the validation dataset using time variable, so I know I am not overfitting.
