The tasks for this project include the design of: 1. bar code generator to render English language alphanumeric letters and numbers as artistic looking bar codes lines within a circular, elliptical, other selectable shaped images or based on a predetermined reference image, both symmetrical and asymmetrical (as opposed to a rectangular or square images), the images can be kept on display and emailed or sent via chat or printed as art (hi-res 300dpi 150x150cm printing) 2. bar code mobile reader to read the rendered images and display the text and/or numbers (could be lengthy text message, or paragraph from book or long equation etc.) The lines spacing, thickness, shapes and colors will determine the letters and numbers The bar code depicted can be variably adjustable from symmetrical to asymmetrical, from either clear lines to what may appear as abstract-free hand images The reader app will work on any mobile platform using the camera – the bar code generator (program/app) and reader app has to be user friendly The barcode images will be used to visualize letters, words, sentences, paragraphs and numbers including mathematical equations (example E = MC2) Words and sentences can be also built on one expanding circle/shape by adding line (increasing the overall size of the circle) Input methods: text, sentences, pages, numbers, equitation’s with a selection of the following: 1. shape based (round, elliptical, square, rectangular) with variability adjustment and 1a: symmetrical; 1b asymmetrical 2. image based (reference image provided and converted into barcodes) Programming language can be (but not limited to): C++, Python, Matlab Design methodology: Mathematics & Algorithm Laptop Image generation on windows, preferably within adobe Photoshop Smartphone reader on mobile application for iOS, Android, iPhone Winning bidder will sign an NDA
