EC2 creation modification termination 2. Assigning and removing elastic ips on live instance 3. S3 bucket creation, mounting bucket to different EC2 instances, uploading contents into bucket. 4. Hello , My name is Istvan Caluser I'm from Cluj-Napoca , Romania, and I'm looking for a part time DevOps/ Sys Admin . I'm currently hired at a big betting company based in the UK , where my tasks are mainly but not resumed to : - automatic deployment of SQL code/packages to the Oracle Data-warehouse ( mainly implementing Continuous Delivery using Go , Jenkins and shell scripts and other internal frameworks ) - ansible automation of server( Mainly CentOs and RedHat) installation ( installation of packages , configuration files , etc ... ) - monitoring application servers ( mainly java apps that move around data from various systems , with zabbix and nagios depending on the nature of the server ) - implementing AWS services with current infrastructure ( mainly EC2 instances ,DB's , S3 ,VPC , but not resumed to these ) . My previous experience is in the following fields : 1. Networking - Worked as a network support technician within one of the biggest providers in Romania 2. Databases - Implemented MS SQL DB and virtualized data between Oralce and MS SQL DB's while working at Robert Bosch , created queries to display data for interactive graphs 3. Web-servers - Presented data from various data sources ( oracle , ms sql , mysql , excel ) via a small web-portal constructed on IIS . In addition to migration, I can harden the server ( assuming this is cpanel) with the below steps == enabled RESTRICT_SYSLOG in the ssh AUTO_UPDATES option turned on >> To keep csf up to date and secure lfd enabled check >> lfd is disabled in the csf configuration which limits the affectiveness of this application LF_SCRIPT_ALERT >> will notify when large amount of email sent from a particulor application LF_SSHD option >> prevent bruteforce attack server check /tmp permissions >> secured tmp disable LOAD DATA LOCAL commands in MySQL ssh check == disabled UseDNS in sshconfig >> Otherwise, lfd will be unable to track SSHD login failures successfully as the log files will not report IP addresses enabled Background Process Killer Check mod_userdir protection >> To prevents users from stealing bandwidth or hackers hiding access to your servers enable_dl = Off >> This prevents users from loading php modules that affect everyone on the server disable_funtion >> disable commonly abused php functions open_basedir protection >> To help prevent PHP scripts from straying outside their cPanel account boxtrapper is disabled >> Having boxtrapper enabled can very easily lead to your server being listed in common RBLs and usually has the effect of increasing the overall spam load etc.....
