Every step and assumptions, in the correct order, that is required for the hosts/servers (that will have ESXi hypervisors installed) to see the 500GB LUN and to create a VMFS file system on the device. Including physical components. - RAID groups has to be created as well.

Hello. I worked with EMC VNX before. And i know vmware products. So i thin i can help you. I recommend install esxi on local datastore or on sd card if you have it. And then we can work on creating raid groups, luns, connecting hosts to lun etc.
