I need an API to discover the schema of ODBC compliant databases, specifically SQL Server 2000, Oracle 9i, and MS Access. Hopefully support for SQL Server 2005 Yukon will be added at a later time, so consider that as you design the API.
The API must expose functions that allow the following database objects to be discovered.
1. Tables
2. Views
3. Columns
4. Stored procedures
5. User defined functions
6. Triggers
7. Primary keys (including composite keys)
8. Foreign keys (including composite keys)
9. Security permissions on tables, views, stored Procedures, and user defined functions.
See attached document for full description. See attached document for full description.
