Fix MS Access export to Excel

We have a problem exporting data from an MS Access database to Excel 2002. All the fields export to Excel properly except for one memo field in certain records. Most of the records export fine except for what appears to be a random selection of specific records. We have copied these records to a new database and run compact and repair. Still does not export properly. When the exported Excel sheet is opened it looks fine until you move your cursor over the cell in question. It will not show the contents of the cell. If you attempt to save the Excel sheet in CSV format it will return the error: “Document is not completely saved?? and will stop at the first record that has the questionable memo field.

The contents of the memo field are text that has been scanned and read from a printed document by OCR and then formatted to HTML. We have tried to find a string of characters or formatting that might be causing this corruption but have not succeeded.

We have also tried other stand alone programs to convert the MS Access database to Excel or CSV but have not succeeded. Ultimately we need the MS Access data in CSV format but need to analyze it with Excel first. Looking for someone to correct the problem or offer a new solution.

## Deliverables

1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.

2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):

a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.

b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.

3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).

## Platform

This needs to be run on a Windows XP platform.
