Hello sir, i have seen a cozi and it has put a smile on my face and simply its just wow.. very simple idea and it will make your life ease in a day to day routine. especially todo's shopping lists and meals one is a great tool. i am myself experiencing a same problem lol. Portal is very big and it will be used by millions of people so obviously no newbie is going to build such a portal. First we have to define what we will offer to our customer besides cozi. And as it will have tons of data i must suggest we should use noSQL concept like mongoDB and as it is a "multi tenant application" mongoDB is a first choice. we also have to use a concept of hadoop cause data will be flooded like anything. I also suggest we should use frameworks like YII which is mainly build for web2.0 like application such as cozi. so YII with mongoDB is a killer combination and we are also looking for a long lasting relationship and our feedback on the site tells that. Also regarding a security it should be free from CSRF, Sql injection and session hijacking and we have our toes up on it when it comes to data centric application, we hare right understanding of all the concepts. We have also experienced in caching mechanism from memcache to APC cache and also gzip compression to leveral browser. so that our application scales well.. :) i think we should make website responsive (mobile friendly) so that users can also see portal on mobile as well :) awaiting for your response.
