Android background Service that sends PHP requests every X seconds

Hello! My name is Connor Nishijima. I maintain a home automation software suite called ElectroPi ( [login to view URL] ) which allows users to control many different types of RF/WiFi appliances. It currently uses MAC address sleuthing to track which users are home and apply preset lighting to accommodate. But this only works so well - and only if the user's phone doesn't shut off idle WiFi to preserve battery.

I am looking for someone to develop an Android Service that when installed will GET request a local IP address (The user's ElectroPI server) every 30 seconds or so with a UUID, nickname or MAC address. Here is what I'm looking for:

Every 30 seconds or so:

GET http://192.168.X.X/[login to view URL]

Done.

Wait another 30 seconds...

}

So it's a pretty simple task. Here's how I see the finished app:

- Service runs in background, preferably as quiet as possible - set it and forget it!

- Small configuration screen accessible via App Drawer icon: IP of EPi server, time between requests, device nickname, etc.

- Configuration saved between sessions

- Runs at boot

I am willing to pay at least $50 for a finished application with an icon/guidelines that I supply + apk/source code. ElectroPi is open-source to begin with! I hope I can keep that reputation up! ;) It's going to be a helpful, free tool for Android users, and you will be VERY well attributed in the ElectroPi Server credits, app, and listing, you have my word!
