Greetings, I understand that you are looking to stop spam to a contact form on a client's site with a form of captcha. While no captcha is unbeatable, I have had alot of luck using one called honeypot. It has an added advantage of not interfeering with the user experience and works remarkably well. I would be willing to install this form of captcha on your clients website. Once installed he/she should see a remarkable drop in the amount of spam comming through. Should the number of spam posts not drop significantly following implementation I will research and install a better/more aggressive form of captcha (although I thik that honeypot will work well for them). Captchas are usually mediocre at best in terms of effectiveness, also they are the worst for user experience. Honeypot is a far better option IMO, and it works behind the scenes without ever requiring user input. If there's a common pattern (certain countries, IP ranges, phrases ) they might be specifically taken action against too. Its a 1 day job, but it would take 2 to do further testing and approve it works smoothly, just in case
