Help fixing a Magento Stock Availability Status issue -- 2

In our Magento store we have a lot of configurable products that have a stock status of "in stock" despite the last remaining stock products are sold out.
It seems to be a general Magento issue, that the parent (configurable) Stock Availability Status remains untouched regardless of what happens to any of it's children (simple). So we need to do something that check for the children of all configurable products, and if all children products is out of stock, then set the configurable products as out of stock.
The solution could be, to create a cron job, similar someone with a similar issue, have done here: [url removed, login to view]
