I used to work with ExtJS in the past, I have plenty experience with Yii2, depending on the current code and the amount of work this can be easily done. I have 2 additional ideas that can be useful: As you mentioned this is an ongoing work this task can be automitaized creating an script which converts the existing ExtJS code into bootstrap which can be a significant help if you have more code to convert although this will need to be discussed later. Other long term solution would be to use the existing Yii2 project into a API and create a Javascript application (can be Angular, Vue, React etc.) which consumes the API.
